Technology in education is growing every year, more and more professor's are trying to figure out new ways to get the students more involved in their learning. With the age of technology, there are many different options a professor can use. The iPod seems to going up the ladder with popularity, as well as podcasts. There are many different uses that the iPod can provide that many never realized, especially for educational purposes. According to Deborah Vess, in the article History to Go: Why iTeach with iPods, you can record and listen to podcasts, take audio notes, look at notes (whether they are words or a picture), and much more.
I think that incorporating this type of learning is very beneficial. Sometimes it is hard to focus in a lecture class, being able to have the lecture on an iPod, one can listen to the lecture when they want and can take breaks when needed. I know I have a short attention span and this would be very beneficial to me. This is partly why I decided to go with an all online graduate program. Being online has given me freedom to work on assignments on my time with the same deadline for everything every week. I can still have a job, have family time, hang out with my friends, and play soccer while being in a master's program.
